This was one truck!
Can you imagine the awe of opening the doors to all the trucks that went down to Gulfport to find thousands of water bottles, diapers, and thousands of pounds of food? The team is doing really well and working hard. Yesterday, they went to a home that was completely covered in fallen trees on the roof and on the ground. As they were working, two backhoes stopped by to ask for directions (the team looks official with their relief t-shirts). David, who is not going to miss this opportunity, "Hmm...we need some help here, would you be interested?" The backhoes spent most of the day with our team and they also brought a team of 20 volunteers. What should have been an entire weeks worth of hard work, turned into an amazing day where people who didn't even know each other, came together and transformed this families property. You can see the size of the rootball in the photo album. That's Carly standing next to it!
This is a man who was homeless from the storm. The team rallied to get him a tent, clothing and food. You can also see the tent in the photo album. The team is bringing hope daily to people who are in need and in turn, the team is experiencing an array of emotions. Please keep them in your prayers.
I'd like to give a shout out to little bro Preston. Thanks for keeping in touch.
