Notes from our second mission trip team:
Today we all got up at an early 7am and got ready for the first full day of clean up work here in Biloxi, Mississippi. We spent all day at a lot cleaning up all sorts of debris. Things from tree branches all the way to gas masks and Xbox games. Oh, ya we did find some golf balls and clubs…. Which you can see in some of the pictures we should be posting. It was such a blessing being able to just serve in this way. I am so used to being at the church. I mean, this is my first “mission” trip. So to me it is such a blessing to be able to be here. There are so many people that have damage to their houses, property, etc… Words cannot explain. The lady, Doris, which we got to help today, was almost in tears before we even started the work! God is moving and we all are praying for tomorrow already. To be His hands and feet.
One last thing! We got to sit in on the prayer service tonight. Pastor Jim gave a message on the sacrifice of Christ and how exciting it is because, that sacrifice is what gives us the hope of one day being with Him in heaven. In the service there were some awesome “older” people that were so thankful for us coming and serving.
Doris sang some good ol’ hymns out of the hymnal books.
Thank you for all of your prayers! We will update you all as soon as we can!
In Him,
Jared

Hi Jared,
I'm so excited for you! Sounds like God is doing amazing things through all of you. I'm so glad you had an opportunity to serve, but I miss you a lot. I kept saying on the weekend "Where's Jared?" , and everyone kept reminding me that the new series name is "Where's God?", not "Where's Jared?". I guess I'm just used to having you around!
Love to you and the rest of the team.
See ya soon!!
Teresa
